Rick Kruer (computermiracles) > Crater Lake is a beautiful deep blue lake due to the fact that the only fill for the lake is the clean, clear snow and rainfall. The clouds form interesting, dark shadows on the surface of the lake. The location is at Merriam Point near the trail we found near the North Entrance of the Rim Drive, on the west end of the lake. This is the last photo of the set taken as the rainbow was just starting to fade. A very nice New Year's treat on the Oregon Coast!
